Summer Baseball Information

Summer Baseball is different from the regular season. The largest difference is that all teams are divided by age and skill level.

District teams

The most skilled players are voted (by coaches) onto the three District teams and compete in the Babe Ruth tournaments for a possible prize of the National Babe Ruth Championship.

All players who sign up for summer baseball will be placed on a team as part of the Metro South Baseball league.

Summer baseball is a travel league, with games being played around the greater South Shore area, not just Braintree. District teams that advance, can be playing further distances depending.

Metro South Baseball League

All other players who sign up for Summer baseball by the deadline will be placed on a braintree team. Players not participating in "Districts" will be selected to the - All 13, 14, or 15-year-old teams and entered into the Metro South "All-Star" summer League automatically.
